Hey kittens!

We're down to the home stretch of our fundraising efforts (only two weeks until TBF'11! SQUEEEE!) - here's the exciting stuff we've got planned:


PINK LEMONADE STAND - July 8-10 & 15-17
Beat the heat this weekend! Stop by Pretty Things Boutique Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoon for a refreshing glass of ice-cold lemonade (and a chat with a pretty lady, of course). PLUS, on Saturday the BAKE SALE is back, by popular demand! Cupcakes, cookies and all sorts of sweet treats will be on offer, and we might even have a dancer in the window again - you'll have to stop by to find out! Next weekend: same pink time, same pink channel.


THE STOODIO'S OPEN HOUSE - Saturday, July 9, 1-4PM

After quenching your thirst (and your sweet tooth), come by the studio and get your photo taken by local Halifax Photographer Stoo Metz (aka The Velvet Rope Boylesque's BUSTER PRICE)!
COST: By Donation to the Burlesque travel fund! $5, $10, $20, whatever you got.
WHAT YOU GET: - 2 Professionally Shot and Edited Photos!
Feel free to bring the family, friends, Wedding Party, bandmates, hula-hoops, lightsabers, costumes, whatever you can dream up! First come, first served - and we have to end promptly at 4PM so be sure to get there early to avoid disappointment!
Come out and get your photo taken and support a fun cause!

BALLOON POP GAME AND MERCHANDISE TABLE at RENDEZVOUS & RAINBOWS - Sunday, July 17, 9PM
Kick off Halifax Pride Week with The Velvet Rope Boylesque! PVB will be there to cheer our brother-troupe on and dole out the prizes with our popular Balloon Pop Game - buy a pin, pop a balloon, and maybe win a fantastic prize!

You know what would really hit the spot after the big concert? That's right: Cupcakes.

WORKSHOPS WITH PINK VELVET BURLESQUE AT PRETTY THINGS BOUTIQUE - Monday, July 18, 7:30-9:30PM

Join Pink Velvet Burlesque for two fun workshops! Attend a single workshop for $15, or register for both for just $20 and save! Pre-registration required (at Pretty Things Boutique) as spaces are limited, cash only.

SHOWGIRL MAKEUP TUTORIAL with THE DIVINE MISS C
7:30-8:30PM
Learn the techniques to put together a glamorous showgirl face for stage or special events. Miss C shares her tricks of the trade through demonstration on a live model*, and attendees will learn everything they need to know to recreate the look at home, PLUS receive a selection of product samples!
*Please note that this is a demo-based tutorial, not an interactive makeover.

PASTY-MAKING with PINK VELVET BURLESQUE
8:30-9:30PM
Whether you wear them onstage or in private, pasties are a fun addition to your wardrobe - learn to make your own, and your collection is limited only by your imagination! In this interactive workshop, we'll provide the instructions, assistance, templates, tools, and a wide range of materials; participants will take home their own hand-crafted, customized pair of pasties, plus a cheat sheet of tips and tricks for making more at home.
